As a result of our annual practice survey, it was clear that there was a demand for another female doctor.  We are delighted that following her maternity leave, Dr Mimi Thomas was available to come and join the practice team as a Part-time GP retainer, with an additional four sessions per week.  

Mimi is from Sheffield but her family were originally from Calcutta.  Mimi graduated from Aberdeen University in 2000 and moved to Orkney in August 2007. She is married to Huw, who is a GP at Skerryvore Practice and they have a son Alexander who was born in April 2007 and a daughter Maya born 24th October 2008.
