Dounby Surgery

We are now very settled in the new surgery and it is difficult to believe we have been here for as long as we have now. The old premises have been sold by the Health Board to the local council. It would have been nice to think that the old building would be put to good use after lying empty for so long, but it hasn't happened yet.		Our Surgery is located right in the heart of Dounby Villlage, at the crossroads and forms a wing of the Smiddybrae Care Home. We are just across the road from Dounby Stores and Gina's hairdressers - Headwest. The Smithfield Hotel and local school - Dounby Primary stand on adjacent wings of the crossroads. The school is also home to the Dounby Community Centre
	This plaque stands on the grass verge outside Engraved, in Orkney sandstone, by local sculptor, Francis Pelly, it was presented to the surgery by a former Partner, Liza Stuart.
